Cider Presses

The right selection of press is very important, too small a press makes it hard work and too large a press can prove to be uneconomical.

Cider Quantity Guide: As a guide to how much cider can be produced, a smallish bush tree will produce approximately 100lbs of apples and a large standard tree - the sort you can walk under - about 500lbs. On average you will need 20 - 25lbs of apples to produce one gallon of cider.

Larger presses available on request. Wooden and aluminium presses.

A 20 litre press is suitable for the production of 7 gallon lots.

Cross Beam Presses

Our current stock includes:

• 5 litre cross beam press
• 11 litre cross beam press
• 20 litre cross beam press

A 20 litre press is suitable for the production of 10 gallon lots.

Aluminium Fruit Presses

Our current stock includes:

• 1.3 litre aluminium press
• 2.2 litre aluminium press
• 5.5 litre aluminium press

Larger presses available on request. Ideal for smaller quantities of fruit, for example for making jam.

A 5.5 litre press is suitable for the production of 1/2 gallon lots.

Fruit Crushers

Our current stock includes:

• 400 X 300mm fruit crusher
• 500 X 750mm fruit crusher

Stainless steel fruit crushers for larger volumes of fruit. Larger crushers available on request.

A  500 X 750mm crusher can process up to 800kg of fruit per hour.

Each On The Rocks kit contains 1.7kg of premium apple concentrate and a carefully developed fruit add back pack which contains real fruit juice to enhance the awesome fruity flavours in every last drop.

Each kit makes 5 gallons at approximately 5.9%b abv
