Metric Measures

Conversions
  • 1 Pint = 568 ml
  • 1 litre = 1 pint 14 oz
  • 1 gallon (British) = 4.546 litre
  • 1 litre = 0.22 gallons
  • 1 ml = 0.036 fl oz

Conversions
  • Centigrade to Farenheit: multiply by 1.8 then add 32
  • Farenheit to Centigrade: subtract 32 then multiply 5 and divide by 9

 

Brewing Quantities:

Cider
  • 20-25lb of apples makes 1 gallon
  • 10kg of apples makes 4.5 litres
Beer
  • 2 oz of hops + 1 pack of yeast makes 5 gallons of beer
  • 50g of hops + 1 pack of yeast makes 20 litres of beer
Wine
  • 2.5lb of grapes makes 1 bottle
  • 1kg of grapes makes 1 bottle
  • Each bottle of wine has approximately 600 grapes in it (give or take 20%)
