Description
Reserve Argentinian Malbec is deep in color and intense fruity flavors. With a velvety texture and notes of ripe blackberries, a hint of spice, and a touch of smoke. Subdued acidity means it is smooth on the palate. The finish is dry and lingers due to the presence of some nice soft tannins.
While the historic birthplace of Malbec is France, it is in Argentina where the grape receives most of its notoriety. The grape clusters of Argentine Malbec are different from its French relatives; they have smaller berries in tighter, smaller clusters. Because of this higher skin to pulp ratio, you can expect a little more structure and tannin than when grown elsewhere. Goes well with Charcuterie, Chilli, Spaghetti and Meatballs, Fajitas, Beef Burritos, Grilled Burgers, Spicy Cuisines, Barbecue, All Meat-Based Dishes.
